Terms of Service
Glammies Hub connects you with independent beauty professionals. These terms explain what we do, what they do, and what you can expect from each of us.
Version 2.4 · Last updated 5 October 2026
1. Who we are, and what we are not
Glammies Hub is a marketplace. We let you find beauty professionals, see what they offer, and book them. We are not a salon and we do not provide beauty services ourselves.
Every brand on Glammies Hub is an independent business. They set their own prices, their own hours, their own deposit and cancellation terms, and they decide which appointments to accept. The service you book is delivered by them, under a contract between you and them. Our part is the platform that brings you together and the record of what was agreed.
2. Your account
You need an account to manage your bookings. Keep your password to yourself, because anything done from your account is treated as done by you. Tell us at once if you think someone else has got in.
You must be at least 18, or have a parent or guardian agree to these terms on your behalf. The details you give us have to be accurate: your email address and phone number are how a brand reaches you, and a wrong one means a missed appointment.
You need to confirm your email address or phone number before you can book. We send a code to one of them and you enter it back. Until that is done the account exists but cannot be used. An unconfirmed contact detail is one nobody has shown they can actually receive at, and a brand left with one has no way to reach you.
3. Booking an appointment
Booking needs an account. There is no guest checkout: an appointment you cannot see, pay for or call off afterwards is not much use to you, and a brand needs a real person to contact.
When you book, you are making a request. It is not confirmed until the brand accepts it, and we will tell you either way. Some brands accept automatically; the rest review each request themselves.
A brand has a limited time to answer, longer for an appointment next week than for one in an hour. If they do not answer in time the request lapses, the slot is released and you are not charged. Once accepted, you have a set time to pay the deposit or the slot goes back up. Both deadlines are shown to you and to the brand, counting down.
Before you confirm, we show you the service, the time, where it happens, the full price and the brand's own terms. Confirming means you accept them.
A brand may decline a request, or cancel an appointment it has already accepted. If that happens, everything you paid for the service is returned to you. See section 6 for how our booking fee is treated.
Standing appointments. You can ask for the same service to repeat every week, fortnight or month, and either of you can set that up or stop it at any time. Nothing is booked ahead. When one appointment is finished we create the next as a fresh request, at the price and terms on that day, and the brand accepts or declines it exactly as they would any other. So a standing appointment saves you remembering to book, and it never commits you to a price you have not seen or the brand to work they have not agreed to.
4. Prices and our fee
The brand sets the price of the service. A service carried out at your own address may cost more than the same service at their salon; where it does, we show you both figures before you commit.
Glammies Hub charges a booking fee. Each brand chooses whether to carry that fee itself or pass it on to you. If it is passed on, it is shown as its own line in your breakdown before you confirm, never added afterwards.
Every brand takes a deposit to hold your slot, and it is never less than 20% of the service price. Where the booking fee is passed on to you, the whole of it sits inside that deposit rather than being spread across both payments. The deposit is therefore the service's share plus the fee, and the balance is service money only. Your breakdown spells out exactly how much each part is.
5. Paying
Payment is by bank transfer through our payment provider. We do not take card details and we do not store them.
Once a brand accepts your booking you pay the deposit to hold the slot. The balance is payable on the day: you can pay it here, the brand can open a payment page for you while you are with them, or you can settle it with them directly in cash or by transfer to their own account.
Money you pay through Glammies Hub is held by a licensed payment partner, not by us, and is released to the brand as soon as they mark your appointment as finished. Money you hand the brand directly never reaches us at all. That matters if things go wrong, because we can only return what actually passed through us.
6. Changing or cancelling
Unless a brand's own published terms say otherwise:
- Cancel 24 hours or more before your appointment and everything you have paid is refunded in full.
- Cancel less than 24 hours before and the brand refunds the percentage it has published, of what you have paid, which may be nothing.
- Every figure above is a share of money that has actually changed hands, never of the service price. If a service costs ₦20,000 and you paid a ₦10,000 deposit, a full refund is ₦10,000, because ₦10,000 is what you paid. Nothing here entitles you to more than you have handed over.
- Our booking fee is not refunded. It pays for taking the booking, the reminders, the payment itself and the support around it, and all of that happens whether or not the appointment does. We can only ever keep a fee you were actually charged: where a brand carries its own fee, your payment is service money and comes back whole.
- We refund what we hold. Anything you paid the brand directly, in cash or by transfer to their own account, never passed through us. It is recorded as owed to you, but settling it is between you and them.
Refunds go back to the bank account the payment came from. Banks usually take a few working days.
Some brands charge for late arrival. Where they do, the amount is shown to you before you confirm, but it is the brand's own charge, settled with them directly. Glammies Hub does not collect it and takes no part in it.
Moving an appointment is usually better than cancelling it, and either side can ask. You pick a new time from the brand's published hours, and nothing changes until the other side agrees. Nothing is charged or refunded, because the payment moves with the appointment. Moving it does not restart the cancellation window: that is measured from the time you originally booked.
There is a limit to how many times an appointment can be moved. Five suggestions between the two of you is the default, and a brand may set its own figure. Past that, two people who cannot agree on a time are better served by cancelling and refunding than by leaving a slot in limbo, and we say so to both of you rather than letting the request quietly fail.
If you do not turn up, a brand can record that. It is kept separate from a cancellation because it is a different thing: the slot was held, the brand prepared, and nobody told them. What happens to the deposit follows the brand's published terms.
Nothing here removes the rights the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act gives you. If a service is not delivered, or is materially not what was described, those rights apply regardless of what a brand's own terms say.
7. If you run a brand here
By listing on Glammies Hub you agree that:
- Your listings are accurate: prices, durations, photos and what you actually offer.
- You honour the appointments you accept, and cancel only when you genuinely cannot go ahead.
- Your published terms are the terms you apply. Clients agreed to those, not to something you decided afterwards.
- You hold whatever licences, insurance and registrations your work requires, and you are responsible for the safety and quality of what you deliver.
- Images you upload are yours to use, or you have permission to use them.
We may show you warnings before you accept an appointment, such as that it clashes with another or that there is not enough time to travel between two jobs. Those are advice, not a block: only you know your own capacity. If you accept anyway, we record that the warning was shown and that you accepted it.
Repeatedly cancelling appointments you have already accepted can lead to suspension.
Getting paid. Money a client pays through Glammies Hub is held until you mark the appointment finished, and becomes withdrawable as soon as you mark it finished, so only do that once the work is done. You withdraw it to the bank account on your profile, and we confirm the account name with the bank before sending anything. Our fee is taken at the point the appointment is earned, and never on money a client hands you directly.
Because that hold is short, a problem can surface after you have been paid. A refund owed to a client in that case is recovered from your balance, which can leave it negative until later appointments clear it, and you may be asked to repay a balance that stays negative. We show you the amount and the reason rather than quietly reducing a payout.
Closing appointments off. An appointment you never mark as finished leaves a client's money held and nobody paid, so we will ask you whether it happened, once a day and a handful of times at most. Answering stops us asking. If nothing is settled we will take it up with you and the client directly.
Your team. You can invite others to help run the brand as staff or as managers. Staff work the calendar; managers can also edit services and invite others. Neither can see your earnings, your withdrawals or your bank details, and those stay with you whatever role you give out. You remain responsible for what the people you invite do with the access you gave them, so remove anyone who no longer works with you.
Your client records. We show you the people who have booked you and what they booked, which is your own business record and comes from your own appointments. Use it to run those appointments. Do not sell it, pass it to anyone else, or add these people to marketing lists they did not ask to be on. If you use it outside Glammies Hub you are a data controller in your own right and the Nigeria Data Protection Act applies to you directly.
8. Reviews
You can review an appointment once it has happened and been paid for. That is the only way a review can be left, so nobody can rate a brand they never booked, and a brand cannot post reviews of itself.
Reviews are public. Your first name and the initial of your surname are shown, not your full name, and never your email address or phone number. Say what happened and be fair. We may remove a review that is abusive, names other people, or is plainly not about the appointment.
If you run a brand, you can reply to any review, and you can hide the written comment on one. Hiding a comment does not remove its rating: the score still counts it, and your page says how many comments are hidden. That is deliberate. It lets you take down something unfair or personal without letting anyone curate their way to a better score.
9. Messages we send you
Some messages are part of the service and you cannot turn them off while you have an appointment with us: that a booking was accepted or declined, that a payment arrived, that a refund was sent, that someone asked to move an appointment, and a reminder before an appointment you have booked.
We may also send you the occasional reminder that it has been a while since your last appointment. That one is a suggestion rather than part of the service, we send it once per appointment at most, and we never send it to somebody who already has another booking. Tell us and we will stop.
Push notifications are only ever sent if you turn them on in your browser, and you can turn them off the same way.
10. Content you upload
Photos, descriptions and reviews stay yours. By uploading them you give us permission to display them on Glammies Hub and to use them to promote the platform. We may remove anything unlawful, misleading, or not yours to post.
A brand's page is public and built to be found. We describe it to search engines and to AI assistants so that people looking for what you do can find you: your business name, what you offer, your prices, your city and your rating. We do not publish a brand's street address that way, because many brands work from home.
11. Suspending or closing an account
You can stop using Glammies Hub whenever you like, and ask us to close your account. We may suspend or close an account that breaches these terms, misleads clients, or puts anyone at risk. Where we reasonably can, we will tell you why first.
If a brand is suspended with appointments already booked, those clients get back everything we are holding for them.
12. What we are responsible for
We are responsible for running the platform with reasonable care, for showing you accurate prices and terms, and for keeping a truthful record of what was agreed.
We are not responsible for the beauty service itself. Its quality, safety and outcome are the brand's, as an independent business. Where something goes wrong between you and a brand we will help resolve it with the record we hold, but the contract for the service is between the two of you.
We do not exclude liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud, or for anything that Nigerian law does not permit us to exclude.
13. Changes to these terms
Glammies Hub is still being built, and these terms will change as it grows. When something material changes we will update the version and date at the top of this page and tell you before it takes effect. An appointment already booked stays under the terms you agreed to at the time, not under whatever this page says later.
14. Law, and how to complain
These terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria. If we cannot settle something between us, the Nigerian courts have jurisdiction. You can also take a consumer complaint to the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Commission.
Talk to us first: support@glammieshub.com. Most things are quicker to fix that way.
